Coach Johnson is a seasoned leader in Texas high school football, bringing over 16 years of coaching and player evaluation experience to the 2026 Texas All State Game. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served in pivotal roles across several of the state’s most competitive football programs, including Duncanville High School, Colleyville Heritage High School, Cedar Park High School, and his current position at Northwest High School.

Coach Johnson has built a reputation as a highly adaptable and results-driven coach. His versatility is evident through his extensive experience working as an Offensive Coordinator and position coach for Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, and Running Backs. Across each of these roles, his approach has centered on developing complete athletes — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally — helping them understand the “why” behind the game. His players are known for their attention to detail, discipline, and ability to execute in high-pressure moments, reflecting his commitment to preparation and excellence.

What sets Coach Johnson apart is his holistic understanding of the athlete development journey. As the Southwest Regional Director for NUC Sports, he has spent years evaluating and training athletes across the country, providing insight and mentorship to players pursuing the next level. In this capacity, he has worked with college-level and NFL athletes, giving him a deep appreciation for what it takes to succeed at every stage — from rising youth prospects to professional competition.

His time at NUC Sports has also allowed him to interact with a wide range of coaching philosophies and player development models.
